A TJAF grant launched support for a community art center expansion in the Cherokee County town of Murphy. TJAF grant funds were matched by municipal dollars and private donations to enable the Valley River Arts Guild to build out an event space at its headquarters. The nonprofit pulled off the expansion with mostly volunteer construction work. Valley River Arts Guild was a 2023 grant recipient.
