Project Description
A TJAF grant allowed the Poe Center For Health Education in Raleigh to upgrade its interactive dental health education tool for children. “Sheriff Tuffy Tooth” travels statewide to teach kids about the importance of oral health; tooth decay is one of the leading chronic childhood diseases in America and especially North Carolina.
Additional grant funds supported new steps to the center’s GrowWell garden, providing safe access for all staff and visitors.
The Poe Center was a 2020 grant recipient.
