Project Description

The Gregg Museum of Art & Design at N.C. State University received a 2017 grant to create a sculpture for the recently renovated museum. The piece was fabricated from a 70-year-old oak log that was felled during the construction of the new and expanded museum. This Gregg Tree project created a work of art that speaks to reuse, conservation, beauty and evolution while being a functional form for peaceful, contemplative rest on the grounds of the museum.
