Project Description

The goal of this 2017 grant was to create a sculpture for the Gregg Museum.  This was to be fabricated from a 70 year old oak log that was felled during the construction of the new and expanded Gregg Museum on the campus of NC State University.  This Gregg Tree project created a piece that spoke to reuse, conservation, beauty, evolution, while being a functional form that provides a peaceful, contemplative resting place on the grounds of the museum for visitors.
